Miss
Allie Shanks was born 17/07/82 and was brought up in Falkirk,
Scotland by her parents, George & Beryl Shanks. On 29th
April 2005, the family made the trip to Wigtown, Scotland's
national book town, to attend the 'Literary Landscape' weekend.
It was here that Allie signed her very first book on Saturday
30th April 2005.
Allie
hated school, routine and rules with a passion. Her school
attendance record was rock bottom as she’d fake sickness &
hide away in her room either drawing pictures or writing stories.
At fifteen
years old, Allie left high school with six standard grades
and enrolled fulltime at Falkirk College where she studied
Art & Graphic design for four years, working part time
in pubs & as a support worker for extra funds and to gain
different experiences. In 2001, Allie graduated as a qualified
Graphic Designer.

Through
the years Allie had continued her writing, turning
her hand more toward poetry than stories. Being as
personal as they were, not everyone had read them
and when a few of Allie’s friends did, in 2003, they
gave her the push she needed toward getting published.
It took a lot of persuasion owing to her lack of self-confidence,
but in December 2004, Allie found Authorhouse, who
helped her tremendously, and supplied her with all
the information she needed…
Confidence
followed and off she went down the road of publishing
her manuscript, named 'Unspoken But Not Forgotten'.
This was soon followed by her second book, 'All In
The Reaction'.
