- The first 2 blackcurrant bushes have now been planted next to
the blackberries in the front garden, along with 12 raspberry canes. |
The
new border dug out and, as of 16/02/09, is home to a further 2 blackcurrant
bushes, 2 redcurrant bushes and 2 Tayberry bushes. |

- Blackcurrant and redcurrant bushes are budding, no signs of life
from the Tayberries yet. |

- The blackcurrants and redcurrants are all flourishing. Even the
raspberry canes are awake. |

of the Silkies. These bushes will need netted next year for fruiting. |

As I pick, I freeze, so I now have enough collected to attempt my
first blackcurrant jam. |
