Most nights, we go for
a walk for some regular exercise. This also gives us time for foraging, photography
and
generally just taking time out to appreciate where we live. These pages contain
photos taken during our evening walk
along the forest path near the house. The photos run from 9pm until about
10.30pm
There are plenty of very large, black slugs on the path, so mind where you're stepping.
Proceeding along the forest path - plenty of fallen cones for collecting
Stopping to admire the flora - wild orchids of the common variety
Purple flowers but I'm not sure what type.
We've also been exploring the derelict cottage near here where the barn owls nest
Looking between the rows of trees - waterways, dry stane dykes and more forestry land
The track continues for about a mile

Crossing over the stream
Almost the end of the summer trail
Turning back as it's now 10pm
