HALOGENS:

Gas - FLUORINE, CHLORINE

Liquid - BROMINE

Solids - IODINE, ASTATINE

Non metallic elements. Halogen literally means "salt-former" and compounds containing halogens are called "salts", eg. Sodium Chloride - common household salt. More HERE

FLUOROCARBONS: (Contain Halogen compounds)

Manufactured compounds of carbon and fluorine or other halogens. Resistent to chemical attack even at extreme temperatures... apparently non-toxic, yet they can destroy ozone! Widely used as refrigerants, anaesthetics, high-temperature lubricants, polythene, Teflon, propellants in aerosols. Said to be detrimental to the atmosphere.

ANTI-DEPRESSANTS AND OTHER DRUGS: (Containing Halogen compounds)

Fluoxetine Hydrochloride (Prozac), Paroxetine Hydrochloride (Paxil) etc... Further notes HERE

ANAESTHETICS: (Containing Halogen compounds)

Fluothane, Halothane, Chloroform, Epidural etc...

CJD: (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Diease)

(1) Variant - Human form of BSE - cause not yet determined

(2) Inherited.

(3) Infectious (from direct contamination with infected neural tissue).

(4) Sporadic - First described 1921, 50 to 60 cases per year UK

A slowly progressive neurological disease initially shows with symptoms such as insomnia, depression, confusion, paranoia, personality and behavioral changes, strange physical sensations, problems with memory, coordination and sight, epileptic like fits, muscle wasting. Early symptoms may be very difficult to distinguish from psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression and even schizophrenia... At the present time, there is no known effective treatment or cure for CJD. The disease is inevitably fatal.

BSE: (Bovine Spongiforma Encephalopathy)

Otherwise known as 'mad cow disease', the disease was first identified in 1986. It affects the central nervous system of infected animals. Research suggested that contaminated concentrated animal feeds could be to blame. The BSE epidemic appeared to peak in 1992. In total, 177,288 cases emerged from 35,095 farms. Almost 70% of these cases were homebred cattle. Over 60% of the confirmed cases were from dairy herds. It has not yet been eradicated, with over 100 cases having been confirmed this year.(2000)

FSE: (Feline Spongiform Encephalopathy)

During the 1990's, there were 87 confirmed cases of FSE in domestic cats.

SCRAPIE: (Sheep & Goats)

The disease has been known in the UK for over 250 years, although it only became a notifiable disease in 1993. It affects the mid brain of infected animals. It seems to peak in animals of around 3 to 4 years old and probably gets it's name from the way those infected animals scrape against fences etc to rid themselves of their deteriorating wool. More HERE

THE DISEASE IS STILL SPREADING!

PSYCHIATRIC ILLNESSES:

Depression - An illness characterised by prolonged low mood which affects the ability to carry out day to day activities. It affects up to 20% of the population at some time in their lives and is more common in women. It is treated with a combination of psychological therapy and/or medication. (About a quarter of the major tranquillisers are connected with fluoride) If a person has experienced one depressive period, they are at greater risk of having another.

Paranoia - A mental disorder that causes those affected to suffer from irrational beliefs and delusions

Psychosis - A mental disorder that causes those affected to lose contact with reality, suffer from delusions, hallucinations and altered thought processes

Schizophrenia - A mental disorder that causes those affected to lose contact with reality, suffer from delusions, hallucinations, loss of personal identity and become withdrawn and apathetic. Sometimes known as split personality.

M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis)

A recognised syndrome that includes headaches, giddiness, blurred vision, muscle weakness, fatigue, lethargy and emotional changeability. Approximately a third of patients completely recover, a third it remains intermittent and a third are left with severe disability. See Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

GLANDULAR FEVER: (Infectious Mononucleosis)

Apparently, caused by the 'Epstein-Barr' virus. Early symptoms resemble Flu with others such as fever, extreme fatigue, muscle pain, headaches, sore throats and skin rash. It can affect the lymph nodes, liver and spleen. The central nervous system may be infected by the virus, which can cause complications such as meningitis or encephalitis. Many ME sufferers appear to have been in contact with the virus prior to dignosis as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. See more HERE

CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME:

Also referred to by some as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.)

Similar sounding to Neurasthenia, an illness that's been known for over a century. See notes HERE

ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL: (Propanol)

As used in polish, cosmetics products, medicine etc. See HERE

POST NATAL/PARTUM DEPRESSION:

Estimated 15% of all new mothers suffer, see notes HERE

E. COLI 0157: (Food poisoning outbreaks)

(November 1996 - Scotland)

COSMETICS:

Collagen injections of offal, anti-wrinkle creme made from cow brains and placenta...

SUICIDE RATES:

GULF WAR SYNDROME:

FLUORESCENT & HALOGEN LIGHTING:

Halogen light bulbs are high pressure incandescent bulbs containing halogen gases such as iodine or bromine.

Fluorescent lamps contain the toxic chemical Mercury, so should be disposed of in proper disposal facilities. Mercury is a toxic chemical that can be released into the environment when not correctly disposed. The accumulation of mercury, particularly in groundwater, can have detrimental effects to the environment. Human exposure to mercury can lead to mercury poisoning, pneumonitis, bronchitis, muscle tremor, irritability, nerve damage, and developmental problems in children and infants.

S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder)

Winter depression symptoms include depression, low mood, lack of energy, changes in brain chemical levels, hormonal changes, drowsiness usually accompanied by excessive sleeping and eating irregularities. Treatment is by 'light therapy, antidepressants an/or psychological therapies.

ALUMINIUM/ALUMINUM/ALUMINA:

COPPER & METAL MANGANESE:

The incidences of Scrapie and CJD appear to have some association with an increased level of manganese and decreased level of copper.Manganese is fed to chickens to increase their egg yield, butbeing poor absorbers of the metal the manganese usually passes straight out as chicken manure . Although it is now officially banned, cattle were once regularly fed on this. Coincidentaly, cases of Alzheimers and Parkinsons Disease within high manganese/low copper areas may also show a marked increase.

According to researcher Mark Purdey, from Taunton in Somerset (UK): "Manganese is usually present in acidic volcanic soil, in small doses it is actually good for the body but high doses seem to set off the dramatic free radical chain reactions and in turn the protein changes that cause degenerative conditions such as Scrapie, BSE, CJD, Parkinsons and Alzheimers in both animals and humans."

"... it appears that synthetic substances such as organophosphates can invoke this same mineral disturbance..."

Chemicals such as oestrogen and steroids also accelerate the uptake of manganese into the brain...

In Morocco manganese miners have for many years been falling prey to a fatal brain degenerating illness known as manganese madness which shows all the signs of CJD...

MERCURY:

A metal that is liquid at room temperature, as used in thermometers, batteries, detonators, fluorescent lighting (as a gas) and amalgam in dentistry - those silver coloured fillings are 50% mercury. Mercury and it's compounds are highly poisonous.

LITHIUM:

SURFACTANTS (ANIONIC, IONIC & NON IONIC)

Used in toothpaste, personal care products, hair care products, cosmetics, detergents, fabric softeners, cleaning products, soap powders etc...

PHENYLALANINE:

ASPARTAME:

ORGANO-PHOSPHATES:

(Eg. Phosmet, as used as as anti-parasitic agent on animals)

MAFF are apparently aware of the fact that low doses of this chemical concoction cause nerve cell changes in cattle similar to early stages of BSE

THE ATOMIC BOMB:

Fluoride was reported to be the key chemical in atomic bomb production. Much of the original proof that fluoride is safe for humans in low doses was generated by atomic-bomb programme scientists. More HERE

TAP WATER & ADDITIVES: (Chlorine and fluorine compounds)

At this time, no water authority in Scotland adds Fluoride to public drinking water supplies...

BOSTON - A review of 15 years of patient records by researchers at the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center indicates that children who develop medulloblastoma, a common childhood brain cancer, were more likely to have been born in late summer or autumn than the average U.S. population. If environmental factors that vary seasonally, such as water pollutants, could be identified and examined for their effects on brain development in the womb, this finding may eventually help clarify some causes of these tumors. "Children born in the fall would have been conceived the previous winter, and their brains would develop during the spring," explained Halperin. "What is happening during the spring more than at other times of the year that could explain this difference? Given other researchers' similar results, it's worth doing more research."

ORGAN TRANSPLANTS & RESEARCH : (Theft and deception)

Information relating to high death rates of children who underwent heart surgery at the Bristol Royal Infirmary between 1984 and 1995. The organs of around 890 childeren were removed at the Alder Hey Children's Hospital. They were uncovered in a University of Liverpool laboratory. The pathologist at the centre of the Alder Hey scandal, Dick van Velzen, is wanted for questioning by Canadian police after they recently found children's organs in a warehouse.

GENETIC ENGINEERING & GM CROPS:

Tortilla Chips... "Friends of the Earth are said to have sent a selection of around 20 different foods from British supermarkets for analysis at a German food laboratory. Results show two types of GM maize, neither of which has been approved by the UK government, have been used to make the snacks sold by Sainsbury's, Tesco, Safeway and Asda. Both varieties of maize which are alleged to have been identified are manufactured by the biotechnology company Monsanto"

GLOBAL WARMING: FACT OR FICTION? (Carbon Dioxide and Methane)

New Zealand - Think climate change, think 40 million sheep. It's not the most obvious link but it's one that scientists in agricultural nations have to make. That's because sheep (and cattle) produce methane gas, the second-most important greenhouse gas after carbon dioxide. How can they eliminate the methane production? Engineer a new type of sheep that doesn't produce it.

Apart from the 'sci-fi' like modification of species, does global warming really exist? Are sea levels really rising? Is the ozone layer being destroyed by Carbon Dioxide? More to follow...

GEO-ENGINEERING: (Large scale atmospheric modification project)

Geo-engineering is a term used to describe "large-scale, deliberate manipulations of Earth environments", it is literally referring to the artificial management of the biosphere... now there is talk of creating a global sunscreen (and a whitening sky) with some kind of skyshield chemical spray programme...

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was established in 1988 by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The technical support unit (TSU) for IPPC-NGGIP (National Greenhouse Gas Inventories Programme) is based in Japan and funded by the Japanese government. Another divisional unit is based in the London Met. Office.

What is 'Project Light'? How real is it and could it have started already?

In a document dated May 2000, it sets out 'The technical and economic potential of options to enhance, maintain and manage biological carbon reservoirs and geo-engineering'. It refers to a 1992 study estimating that 10 million tons of 'dielectric' aerosols of some description would be required to increase the reflectivity of the earth by '~1%'. Comparisons have apparently been made using 'alumina' particles and sulphuric acid aerosol. Have trials begun?
