Why 'Paranoid Times'? ~ The really basic and simple stuff

Because these are paranoid times; this is the twenty-first century, the age of conspiracy and paranoia. Forget the welfare state. Forget the nanny state. Western society has evolved (or devolved) into a mental state and, as time progresses, we deserve to understand why!

So, you disagree with the above statement? Let's see how paranoia has clawed it's wily way into your mind and then re-evaluate your automatic dismissal of such thoughts.

Pensions - If what cost £1.00 twenty years ago costs £5.00 today, and it costs you £200 a week to exist now, can you trust your own assumptions that you will afford £1000 per week in 20 years time?

Pensions - When most women of today started working, retirement age was 60, and then it was increased to 65. Should it necessarily follow that the pension age shall gradually increase as people live longer in this 'opulent' and technologically advanced age?

Battle of the sexes ~ A man can father a child well after current retirement age... A woman can give birth after current retirement age with the help of modern medicine and fertility treatment... A man can co-habit with another man and adopt a child... A woman can co-habit with another woman and adopt a child... Surrogacy is no longer an automatically denied option... Women are no longer expected to stay home and keep house nor do they feel it their 'duty' to produce children for their husbands. How long until we see the class system structured into breeding and non-breeding communities? Will the cities become gated and off limits to all but the workers?

Money ~ The demise of actual currency is edging closer and closer. CHIP and PIN is the current rage but it's only another small step in the general direction of micro-chipping humans. Why bother with the hassle of wallets and purses, coins and notes, cheque books and credit cards when one simple microchip implant under the skin - as tested on domestic pets, tropical birds, farm animals and horses etc - could obliterate the need for all of those things. Scanners are our future. Be warned.

Simple things in life ~ like a home in which to live. Get on the treadmill. Study hard, get qualified, get a good job and start digging your way out of the already immense debt trap into which you have innocently fallen. If all else fails, the welfare state will house you - if they haven't sold off all the existing properties and failed to build sufficient new ones. Hundreds of thousands jumped on the bandwagon of buying their council homes but what I don't understand is WHY? The obvious answer is security for future generations and as a long term investment but for many, it meant a quick buck and then plunged headlong into the debt trap of mortgages and spiralling house costs when trading up. How secure is the roof over your head? How secure is your income? How secure is your place in society? They are out to get us in whatever way they can, whether it be by taxes, manipulation of the way in which we try to spend our own money, housing, pensions and general well-being - for they could control that too. (Treatment of drinking water / innoculation programmes / medicine / subliminal 'advertising' and general subversive brainwashing / the nation's power supplies - no power = chaos!)

HEALTH ~ Medications, food and drink additives, food and drink preservatives, free needle exchange for illegal drug users...

DRUGS ~ Who really is controlling the ebb and flow of 'illegal' substances and how could legalisation of Cannabis affect society?

So... Paranoid Times are here to stay whether we like it or not. Our opt-out choices are diminishing rapidly, but at least we still do have a partial opportunity to seek quality in our lifestyles as opposed to the 'quantity' surplus imposed on us all by modern day living.
