THE BLADNOCH TROT - 12 JUNE 2005

LAST YEAR'S RESULTS: On Sunday, June 13th, Wigtown Agricultural Society hosted the 2004 Bladnoch Trot - under BHRC Rules - with total prize money well in excess of £2,000. It was a glorious day, the sunshine bringing out an impressive crowd of punters, spectators and visiting families alike.

A total of 7 races were run, winners as follows:

Race 1 - Maidens/Improvers/Intermediate - 1m 50yds: Klondyke Marina

Race 2 - Maidens/Novice/Improvers - 1m 50yds: GDS Byron

Race 3 - Open Class Handicap - 1m 2f: Dutch Harry

Race 4 - Open Class Handicap - 1m 2f 50yds: The Playboy

Race 5 - Open Class Handicap - 1m 2f 50yds: Skate On Max

Race 6 - Lower Class Final: Baricello

Race 7 - Open Class Final (Ayrshire & Galloway Cup) 1m 2f 50yds: The Playboy

The going was on the fast side with several track records being broken, including the Lower Class Final with a time of 3mins 20.2 and the Open Class Final at 2mins 41
