Giant's Causeway and Kalanisi battle out the finish of the 2000 Eclipse Stakes at Sandown with Giant's Causeway eventually running out the narrow winner under George Duffield. Giant's Causeway, who became known as 'The Iron Horse', was the star of the 2000 Flat Racing campaign with five successive Group 1 wins. This included two memorable battles with Kalanisi, who was to record victories of his own in the Champion Stakes and Breeders Cup. Close up behind in the Eclipse were Godolphin's Fantastic Light and subsequent Arc hero Sakhee.
