Transferred to share dealing account: It was a free trading day on IMWebSharedDealing, I was bored, I got to thinking about Tadpoles and before I knew it I had parted with £150 of my paultry balance. I know, I know, I know, I shouldn't be so rash with money but hey! It's too late to worry now, it's gone. It's swimmng somewhere in Cyberspace in exchange for more of my little wriggly friends. Here's what I got for the money:

TADPOLE TECHNOLOGY ORD GBP0.01 Date 16/10/2007 Quantity 4635 Transaction Type Purchase Cost Per Share (p) 3.24

-£150.00
19 Oct 07 Reimbursement paid directly to CC £150
24 Oct 07 Credit card bill paid £58.87
24 Oct 07 Having switched electricity payments from pre-paid meter to quarterly billing, bill for July-October paid. This compares favourably with same time last year when total monthly spend was topping £100 £182.60
26 Oct 07 Checked the shares, a very slight increase plus I now have the new Tadpoles, which have increased 53% in value since buying! £1008.47
28 Oct 07

I need to check the Christmas shopping list. As you all know, I tend to pick up bargains throughout the year. I have spent a bit this month but the costs won't show until the credit card bill arrives next month, as I waited to make sure I got the FULL MONTH 0% interest, enabling me to leave my balance in the bank accruing a few pence extra in interest. OH! And one major expense, a luxury really, I have ordered a tumble dryer! I know, I know, but it is almost impossible to keep up with the washing and drying without one when the weather has been so bad and there are no radiators over which to hang the clothes. We'll soon find out what impact the machine has on the electricity bill but I have decided NOT to buy coal this year. Instead, I am making the most of the Economy White Meter - I hope! And I'm hardly spending a thing n my mobile phone - incoming only and a few text messages means that the £10 is lasting more than a month.

I also did a total balance check on all spending accrued to date, made up of credit cards and cash. Those figures matched up with what has already been included, as follow:

Total cash - £1,231.98
Credit Card 1 - £318.95
Credit Card 2 - £203.01
Credit Card 3 - £1,931.48
TOTAL SPEND JAN 2007 - OCT 2007 - £3,685.42
Less £420 share of Council Tax - £3,285.42
The figures will never be exact as we are calculating in fluctuating shares values.

29 Oct 07 £727.27 left to live off and budget for the Christmas celebrations. I have exactly 9 weeks to go and presents to buy for 9 adults and 5 children. Thankfully, I already have my cards and the little extras, as I've been buying throughout the year. So... how much does one budget for presents? It's getting pretty tight now, as I have had to order a new tumble dryer at a cost of £129! This will take my combined credit cards bill up to £383.24 so far. Hmm... I suspect that I may have to part with some of my shares!
Unless... there's always eBid!

Total spend to date =
£3,272.28

Less shares value =
£1,008.47

Balance =
£2,263.81
Technically, I have only £727.72 cash remaining to last me until 31st December 2007 if I do not want to cash in what remains of the shares. Christmas present update coming soon...
