Tribute to Hot Horse Harry

and his Lucky White Heather

Harry, seen here in his favourite spot beside the racetrack sporting his copy of 'Now You Know' in 1999, was responsible for the racing reviews section of our printed monthly newspaper. He also ran the news and messageboards for our associated horseracing website, Scottish Racing.co.uk, prior to this being transferred to the Scottish racetracks. At that time, Harry was our primary racing columnist for both 'Now You Know!' and RaceScotUK.

Apart from his racing interests, Harry was a great fan of Speedway, arranging sponsorships and outings to see the Edinburgh Monarchs. Harry was a great help and showed immense support for any project in which he became involved. He was a jovial character at most times and an awkward beggar at others. He is sadly missed by all who knew him. He and his loyal friend 'the Trilby' could be spotted at most northern race meetings gathering the hot news for NYK and RaceScotUK whilst faithfully demonstrating firm belief in his very own 'Lucky White Heather Club'. Whatever you thought of Harry, he was certainly a character; humorous, straight talking, no messing, one for the road ... and I'll bet he did just that! His sudden death shocked us all and he will always be sadly missed. Tuesdays have never been the same since!

Rest in Peace 'Hot Horse Harry', you are missed by all.

We know you are there watching us every step of the way,

If you hear any whispers, give us a nod!
