Fishing with the happy anglerThe Happy Angler

Bringing you angling news from the lochs, rivers and ponds around the Frugaldom project in Dumfries and Galloway region of South West Scotland, where we can offer keen anglers the chance to own their own home from home with fishing on the doorstep. With holiday home prices starting at around £10,000 and extremely affordable site fees considering all the fishing you can do, you'll wonder why you hadn't come here sooner.

Our land is traversed by the Black Burn on its way to meet the river Bladnoch, known for its salmon fishing. Nearby, there are three lochs -  the Black Loch, Loch Heron and Loch Ronald - plus the river Tarf, which again runs into the Bladnoch. The area between the Black Burn and Tarf water is home to the Frugaldom Project and Three Lochs Holiday Park. Just a few miles along the road we also have Torwood, another popular angling spot with both locals and visitors to this area.
