The COVID-19 pandemic has put health and wellness at the forefront of many people’s minds, and with the lockdowns over and social distancing restrictions easing, you might be giving more thought to getting fit. There are lots of different ways you can lose weight, improve your sporting ability or tone up, from going running to joining a gym. However, whatever your specific fitness goals are, one of the most effective ways to achieve them is by working with a personal trainer. Here are just some of the reasons why.

REMINDER: Today we are making raw apple cider vinegar. It's been quite some time since we picked our apples and the harvest, although not yet including much from the new orchard, was plentiful. Many apples were given to friends and relatives, many more were stewed for sauce, crumbles and pies and yet more were turned into jelly with a combination of foraged berries and blackcurrants. The remaining apples are stored in black bags outside, chilled by the good old Scottish, winter weather.
MUDDY WELLIES WEEKENDS! Escape to the country this Autumn and take advantage of one of our great FRUGAL BREAKS. Official 'Friends of Frugaldom' members can benefit from additional discounts.
Frugaldom is located approximately 10 miles from Newton Stewart, less than a mile from the Three Lochs Holiday Park, where we offer self-catering caravan accommodation for guests attending any of our events.
Following a frugal regime during winter is never easy. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks or who agrees or disagrees with our lifestyle choices, it's always around February that we could happily crank up the heating and throw extra logs on the fire... or else pack up and head for warmer, drier climes!
Frugaldom the place, Frugaldom the project, Frugaldom the experience... we're planning out first FRUGALFEST!
15 Years down the road and round the bend but not quite over the hill... Our satirical 'Woman Zone' columns first appeared in print in 1999. Those responsible for the rants, raves and ramblings included Shona Prophett, the Bishop, Rosemary, Eddie Elwood, Jordan, Millie May, Agnes and Senga... names that many of you may recognise and characters some of you met.
Sunday saw some frugal activity out at the Frugaldom Project. With around 600 trees to plant, including 420 from the Woodland Trust, Sunday gave us the perfect opportunity to get some serious work done.
The latest Frugaldom Project officially came into being on 8th July, 2014. This can be thought of as a 'members go free' virtual eco tour where you can experience Frugaldom for yourself, watch it develop from it's absolute beginnings and contribute or take part whenever you like.
1st - 7th September 2014 is Zero Waste Week and, as expected, Frugaldom is taking part in recycling, upcycling, repurposing and reusing in a bid to cut waste and save money.
