Employees whose work can be done remotely should be allowed to be teleworkers if they wish, and the faculty should have the right to teach (and counsel) remotely if they need to. In order to keep our members informed, we have organized several tele-townhalls for all members to provide updates on COVID 19 holidays, executive orders, telecommuting and more. If you missed the town halls, recordings are available. MMB Directive 1440 offers paid health leave for an employee`s health in the context of COVID-19 when an employee has COVID symptoms identified by the CDC and who are seeking a medical diagnosis, or a health care provider has recommended self-quenching, based on the belief that the employee has or could have or could have covid-19, or is vulnerable to COVID-19 or a federal, national or local order of isolation or quarantine in the context of COVID-19 only if the employee is unable to telework because their professional duties cannot be performed by telework, if they are too ill to work, or if they are not allowed to telework by their supervisor. . . .
